STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?
-
What's your specialty?
We specialize in taking students to the next level. Many of the students in immersion schools or camps learn for several years without the ability to fully express themselves like a native and find rote memorization boring and hard to follow. We take your Chinese journey to the next level with native text, fun topics to drive interest. Our community of native level kids is inspiring for others to join and feel the culture and love for the language. In addition, our rigorous curriculum has children learning over 500 characters a year (compared to the national dual immersion program averages of 50 characters/year).

How are classes held?
Classes are held online through 1) zoom or 2) recorded for on demand viewing. Dates and times are listed on the class site. All classes are recorded for ultimate flexibility. If you have extracurricular sports, kids just view the video on that day and come join us on the other days you're available. Other classes are recorded classes and you can go at your own pace.
-
What if I can't make the time?
We will be recording all sessions so all lessons will be available for viewing a few hours after the session. Videos will be available for you to view as many times as you wish. Typical period to review videos is 12 months.
-
I'm in another country. Can I still register?
Absolutely. You can register and view the video replays or if you can join in the live classes at the same time if your time zone allows. We have students from all over the world attend classes. This is a global school. Video recordings will be available after class.
-
What ages are best for these classes?
Each class is different. For regular language classes, age and level suggestions are listed on the page. Most classes are K-8 and leveled according to abilities. However, we'll also have AP Classes geared towards high school students.
-
I have more than one child. Can they sit together? Do I have to register both?
One registration per child is required unless with exceptions stated on cite or through instructor approval. We strive to give all children the fair amount of time to speak in class and need to make it equitable for all families. With limited size classes, siblings will need to each pay for a seat to participate. Thank you for your understanding.
-
How much Chinese background do I need?
Each class is different. Please refer to leveling differences. In general, we offer classes best fit for children who have already gone through some beginner programs like Duolingo, where they are familiar with the language, speak kitchen Chinese at home, and would like to further their studies to another level. It may be hard for you to follow along if you don't understand any Chinese but the replays will be available so if you'd like to follow along and replay to enforce your own Chinese learning, that's always welcome as well.
