  • Complete Mandarin immersion 全程華語教學, 提升孩子對學中文的興趣。
  • We will be learning idioms, phrases, sentence structure, and grammar. 我們將學習成語、詞語、句子結構和語法。
  • Learning to write essays doesn’t need to be boring. 寫作並不需要死氣沉沉.
  • We will be utilizing the most creative and fun materials to inspire their writing techniques. 我們將使用最有創意和有趣的教材來激發他們的寫作技巧。
  • We will cover the following:
    • Basics of grammar, sentence structure, paragraph layout and idea mapping. 
    • Learn how to start an essay, how to pick topics, how to emphasize the main idea.
    • Different types of essays including but not limited to: narrative writing, descriptive writing, argumentative writing, and poetry.
    • Cultural elements: teaching students how to understand and express their own cultural background and experiences.
    • Evaluation and reflection: students need to learn how to evaluate their own writing and reflect on it to improve their writing skills.
    • Creative writing: encouraging students to unleash their creativity and write interesting and unique stories and articles.
    • Editing and revision: learning how to check and correct their own mistakes, as well as how to provide constructive feedback to their classmates.

Age/Chinese Requirements: 

  • Not age specific. You’ll need to be able to work Zoom (open link from a website, raise hands, mute, see chat link, etc.). Children in these classes usually range from 7-13. 不限年齡。您需要能夠使用Zoom（從網站打開連結、舉手、靜音、查看聊天連結等）。課程孩子年齡大部分都在 7-13歲之間。
  • Children in this class require listening and conversational skills to follow directions and listen to stories. 這個課程的孩子需要具備聽力和口說技能，以便能夠跟隨指示和聆聽故事。
  • You will need writing skills enough to express yourself utilizing a combination of characters and Zhuyin/Pinyin or be able to type out the characters on a keyboard. We do not care which method you use as long as you’re able to express yourself through any form of writing. As reference, our current second and third year students or above are perfect candidates to join. 你需要具備足夠結合漢字和注音/拼音來表達自己，或者能夠打出漢字。溝通能力為台灣小學二年級以上作爲水準。

Class Size: 

  • Small classes start at 5 with a max of 10. We reserve the right to increase or decrease the size by a handful of students due to: class switches, video only options students, students who switch time slots due to our flex option. 
  • 小班課程開始於5人，最多不超過10人。由於學生轉班、只參加視訊課程或因彈性選擇而更改上課時間，我們保留增加或減少幾名學生的權利。

Time Flex Option: 

  • If in the same session your class is listed with many time option, you’re allowed to attend any of the time sessions for ultimate flexibility of scheduling. For example, if in a May session there are two times listed for this class, both Zoom links will be given in your Dashboard Class site and you can just click on the particular time you’d like to attend that day. 
  • 如果您的課程在同一個課程學期中有多個時間選項，您可以參加任何時間的課程，方便給家庭最大時間彈性的安排。例如，如果在五月份的課程中有兩個時間可選，兩個Zoom鏈接將顯示在您的課程課網站上，您可以點擊您當天想要參加的特定時間。

Where?

  • Zoom links will be under the lesson date/number on the class menu and you can click through to the zoom link right before class starts. All class videos will be posted here in the site.  
  • 本課都是利用網路 zoom 在進行。 開課之前請到網頁點入 Zoom 連結上課。每堂課都會有錄影，所以沒法當天上課可以隨時參考錄影。影片會保存放網上限時365天，需要延長時間請隨時聯絡我們. 

Video Option:

  • Many of our students do video only with amazing results. Some do a mix of video and live online. They can go at their own pace to do the classes and still be able to listen to other students answer questions and see what their peers are thinking and how they are answering. If there’s a sharing day or a presentation day, then video only students are always welcome to come share. At any time you need to go video only, you have the ultimate flexibility to do that since videos are uploaded daily by the end of the day of each class day. You can review and re-watch anytime as well. 
  • 我們有許多學生僅參加視訊課程，並獲得了驚人的成果。有些學生則混合視訊和線上課程進行學習。線上影片可以讓學生按照自己的進度進行課程，仍然能夠聽取其他學生回答問題並看到同儕的想法和回答。如果有分享日或演講日，僅參加只看影片課程的學生也可以參加。任何時候因爲時間，學校或家庭緣故需要轉換成只看影片都可，由於每個課堂日的視頻會在當天結束時上傳，因此您可以擁有最大的彈性。您也可以隨時回顧和重看視頻。

  • Are there siblings discount? We are not offering any discounts for siblings at this time. 
  • 是否有兄弟姐妹折扣？目前我們不提供兄弟姐妹折扣.
  • Are siblings allowed to sit together? It depends on your family and how your children work together. Some prefer siblings to sit apart with different screens if possible to minimize disturbances to their study and they feel more ownership. However, there are some siblings that like to sit together and it makes them work harder.
